About disco
Established in 1992, Sams Motion Music started out as someone with a very large record collection (for a 16 year old!) getting invited to friends parties to play music. Progressing on to my first full gig as DJ at a 25th Wedding Anniversary (which I practised for hours beforehand!)
Since then I have probably amassed a few thousand disco's ranging form all kinds of events as follows: Weddings, Birthdays, Christenings, Retirements, Proms, Fetes, Barbecues, Corporate Events in venues from 40 guests to 1000.
Weddings are my particular speciality and I am currently the recommended DJ at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport South Wales.
I have played various Hotels across the UK including the Vale Of Glamorgan, Angel, Friendly, McDonald Holland House in Cardiff. Celtic Manor, Glan-yr-Afon, Cwrt Bleddyn, Kings Hotels in Newport. St. Pierre, Beaufort, George, Abbey and Royal George Hotels in Chepstow and Tintern. Marriott in Regents Park London, Bristol, Cardiff, Swansea and Newport. Hilton in Bristol, Cardiff and Newport. I have also done events in the Bournemouth International Centre, Cardiff International Arena, Gala Bingo halls, Margam Park in Port Talbot. Even the Butlins in Brean Sands, Weston Super Mare!
I will travel anywhere, but mainly the M4 corridor and will be available for any parties from Swansea, Port Talbot, Bridgend, Abergavenny, Monmouth, Raglan, Cardiff, Newport, Usk, Caerleon, Chepstow, Bristol, Bath, Swindon, London.
Some of the corporate clients I have catered for include; Microsoft UK, Toyota, Lloyds TSB, HSBC and Scope.
I have had the pleasure of working with an array of celebrities too including Jools Holland, Shane Richie, Chris Barrie, David Copperfield, Freddie Starr, Jimmy Tarbuck, Kenny Lynch, Sean Williamson, Owen Money and David Essex.
The equipment I use is of the highest order including Abstract, Constella and Martin lighting. 1800w Carlsboro PA system. The smoke and bubble machines are used to enhance the show where necessary. Roving microphones for any speeches and presentation needs and I always attend the function dressed accordingly, black tie on request. There are three separate DJ's involved so many dates are always available.
